[ Story ]

Part of a movie project born from a collaboration between three instructors at The Film School of Tokyo and their students. This crime melodrama is a modern spin on the classic rakugo (storytelling) ghost tale "Shinkei Kasanegafuchi." Its director is Nishiyama Yoichi, who has also adapted modern Japanese literature for the screen. Shin (Suzuo Keita) proposes to his live-in girlfriend Toyo (Miyata Aki) but is perplexed when she rejects him, saying: "If I marry you, my father will die a gruesome death." To make matters worse, he makes the shocking discovery that Toyo's father was killed many years ago, and that the culprit was his own father.
