Animation adaptation of the novel by Kawaguchi Masayuki, which made a splash as an online novel. A boy from the present-day world travels back in time to 1977 and spends a summer in a village fated to be flooded by a dam. Director Uda Konosuke of the series ONE PIECE creates a nostalgic mood with images that use no CG. Sixth-grader Yuta (voice: Takei Akashi) goes to a reservoir that has memories connected with his father, who died in an accident. He slips and loses consciousness, and upon awakening finds that he's been transported to an unknown village.
