[ Story ]
Zombies emerge from rice paddies in a regional city set against the backdrop of Mt. Fuji in this near-future splatter horror with a thoroughly Japanese touch, based on the eponymous manga by Koizumi Tomohiro. Its cast features several promising young actors who are tipped to become future stars, such as its star Arai Atsushi.
Akaboshi Ikuo (Arai) contracts the UnDead Virus (UDV), which is transmitted by bodily fluids. He is consequently unable to find a job, and stays unemployed. Together with his younger sister Syoko (Higa Rino) and the rest of his family, Akaboshi confronts societal discrimination against UDV carriers.
