A live-action adaptation of a popular video game series that popularized a new gaming genre: courtroom combat. Director Miike Takashi, who is also held in high esteem overseas for his works including {Thirteen Assassins}, uses an audacious visual approach to depict a neo-futuristic law court based on the world of the video games. In the near future, a new judiciary system is adopted in which attorneys and prosecutors engage in head-to-head battle and verdicts are reached in three days. Rookie attorney Phoenix Wright (Narimiya Hiroki), genius prosecutor Miles Edgeworth (Saitoh Takumi), and medium-in-training Maya Fey (Kiritani Mirei) are among the participants in a fierce courtroom war.
