Mizutani Yutaka and Izumi Seiji, the actor-director team behind Partners, created this film adaptation of Ogiwara Hiroshi's Naoki Prize-nominated novel. Warmly depicts a household grappling with various issues as they restore their family bonds. The century-old farmhouse and Iwate's beautiful landscape are also not to be missed. The Takahashi family moves to a small town when the father, Koichi (Mizutani), gets relocated for work. Accustomed to urban living, the family grumbles about their new life, and grandmother Sumiyo (Kusabue Mitsuko) shows signs of dementia. Then, one day mysterious things start happening in the old farmhouse where they live.
