The second feature film version of the popular TV suspense drama that started as a one-off two hour drama and is now entering its 9th season. An intellectually-minded detective who was thrown off a prestigious career path because of his idiosyncrasies, and his second partner come up against a conspiracy within the police force itself. The film is loaded with explosions, gunfights and spectacular action scenes fitting for the series' tenth anniversary. Twelve police commanders are taken hostage and barricaded in the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department headquarters. Special Assignment partners Ukyo (Mizutani Yutaka) and Takeru (Oikawa Mitsuhiro) start to gather information but the perpetrator is mysteriously shot dead, with no discernible motive.
