[ Story ]
Set in a haunted hotel, this comedy revolves around a young man who wants to become a writer and the spirits of some of the foremost figures of modern Japanese literature, such as Natsume Soseki, Mori Ougai, and Miyazawa Kenji.
Aspiring author Utsumi (Abe Tsuyoshi) has never written a novel before. He decides to check in to the venerable Hontendo Hotel and concentrate on completing a book of his own, but it turns out to be inhabited by the restless ghosts of great writers. Plagued by writer's block, Utsumi ends up receiving assistance from the spirits as he tries to finish his novel.
