A film adaptation of Sekiguchi Hisashi's romantic mystery novel. Set in a repertory cinema in a country town, it carefully observes the emotional revival of a female projectionist with a dark past. Its scenes featuring the projection of old films are a highlight. University student Keisuke (Nishijima Takahiro) returns to his hometown during his summer holiday and takes a part-time job at a run-down movie theater. However, his boss Ruka (Mine Azusa), a projectionist who lives on the premises, has not set foot outside in three years, and always falls into a deep depression on Mondays.
