The identically titled manga by Saso Akira, who has won the Excellence Award twice in the Manga Division of the Japan Media Arts Festival, is adapted to live action from a script by Ono Hiroyuki of Uzumasa Limelight, and also serves as producer.
Saku (Inowaki Kai) enrolls in an art college in Kyoto and is drawn into the "Contemporary Music Society". In the club is his half-brother Taisei (Yamazaki Ikuzaburo), a promising composer prodigy. Saku's hidden talent begins to blossom when Nagi (Matsumoto Honoka) and her natural singing voice arrives.
