Japan, suicide powerhouse where each year some 30,000 people take their own lives. This film presents people who are involved in providing support to do something about the situation. Twin-brother producers Todori Takuya and Todori Shinya make their debuts as cinematographer and director, respectively. Many individuals and NPOs are involved in preventing suicide and caring for those left behind in places throughout Japan, including Akita Prefecture, which has the nation's highest suicide rate. They meet many different people, and begin to think about how to live without giving up.
