Comedy based on the 2004 novel of the same title by author Shiina Makoto. Refreshingly depicts the peculiar survival lifestyle undertaken by a middle-aged man and a group of youths, set on a remote Okinawan island with great natural beauty.
Sasaki (Abe Sadao), who is completely downtrodden after losing his job and getting divorced, makes a sudden visit to a remote Okinawan island. Sasaki is charmed by the island, but one day he loses all of his possessions. Completely at a loss, Sasaki starts living communally with several young people who he encounters on the island…
