Drama themed on a children's story by the renowned author Miyazawa Kenji, who hailed from Iwate. The forlorn heroine living in Tokyo rediscovers her zest for life upon returning home for the first time in a decade. Shot at locations including Iwate's Hanamaki Festival in support for the recovery from the 2011 Tohoku earthquake and tsunami.
Towa (Kikuchi Akiko) left her Iwate home at the age of 18, unable to forgive her mother for remarrying after her father passed away. She has refused all contact with her mother since then, but one day she gets to know an elderly woman from her hometown who wants to get a hand-sewn kimono to her grandchild.
