[ Story ]
Adapted from the novel by Fukui Harutoshi, the author of the bestselling 'Bokoku no Aegis' ('Aegis') and 'Lorelei' (both of which have also been turned into successful films), and based on the original 1979 film of the same title by Hanmura Ryo.
The Japanese Self Defense Force is carrying out secret experiments on an artificial magnetic field machine when a massive explosion occurs, hurling Matoba (Kaga Takeshi) and his research team back in time to the Warring States Period, 460 years ago. Soon, a deadly "time hole" contaminated by contact with the past begins to spread all over Japan. The only way to fix the rift in time is to create the same conditions as the accident and send Kashima (Eguchi Yosuke), an ex-colleague of Matoba's, back to the year 1549. He has a limited amount of time before he has to return to the present. The Self Defense Forces are attacked by Matoba's troops who have taken over the regime after Oda Nobunaga and who are trying to change history itself. Kashima's force struggles to maintain the true course of Japanese history.
