[ Story ]
A documentary capturing the everyday lives of a couple who live at a sanatorium for leprosy sufferers. Through its depictions of the wife who cannot see and is physically disabled, and her husband who fusses over her, we gain glimpses of the life they have led together.
Oshima Seishoen is a facility for leprosy sufferers located on a tiny sixty-one-hectare island in the Seto Inland Sea. Seventy-eight-year-old Tojo Taka and his seventy-five-year-old wife Yasue have lived there for over sixty years. Their current goal is to participate in a karaoke competition to held at a sanatorium in Kumamoto Prefecture. The day of the competition gradually approaches.
