[ Story ]

The first film from the "Mubisute" project, in which film and theater productions take differing approaches to dramatizing a shared story. A suspenseful chamber piece about a gathering of soldiers who set out to change the course of a war. Its writer and director is Naruse Yusei, who is also active in theater.
In an unspecified nation in an unspecified period, six soldiers including Yamamoto (Ishiguro Hideo) come together on the forty-ninth day after the death in battle of their superior, Lieutenant Arahata (Watanabe Daisuke). They discuss the formation of a special unit to avenge their fallen leader, but find themselves increasingly at odds with each other. Then Arahata's widow Tamami (Asami Reina) enters the fray.
