A feature film continuation of an animated television series based on a popular science fiction video game with a mysterious world view and an unpredictable plotline. It depicts a university student who happens to invent a tool that has global repercussions, and the people around him.
By chance, arrogant and delusional university student Okabe (voice: Miyano Mamoru) invents "D-Mail" which can send messages into the past. However, it also has the terrible power to change it and bring about the death of his acquaintances. Okabe frantically tries to prevent the worst from happening.
