[ Story ]
One-of-a-kind animated film with direction, screenplay and cinematography handled by newcomer creator Ujicha, who resides in Kyoto. Uses a spooky touch to depict bizarre events sparked by life forms that fuse human beings and Buddha statues. Audacious visuals are anchored in "gekimation," in which cutout pictures move against the background, and also combines live action footage.
High school girl Beniko (voice: Iguchi Yuka) is furious after a Buddha statue at her temple home is stolen, and to top it off, her parents are killed. She is burning to find the perpetrator, but one day, she encounters a mysterious life form that seems to be a fusion of her parents and the Buddha statue.
