[ Story ]
A comedy in which a middle-aged trading company employee gets involved in a series of predicaments as he attempts to put a stop to his expatriot daughter's wedding. Director Fukasaku Kenta's filmography spans horror, drama, and a wide array of other genres.
Katakura Ken (Takenaka Naoto) is a middle-aged salaryman who has worked for the same company for 25 years. One day he learns of the marriage plans of his daughter Midori (Kitano Kie), who works in Malaysia as a Japanese teacher. Ken refuses to allow this to happen, so he travels to Malaysia where he begins a search for Midori with the help of Chinese truck driver Mary (Hu Bing).
