A feature film spin-off of an animated television series based on Sasamoto Yuichi's light novel. Sato Tatsuo resumes his duties as writer and director from the TV series for this tale of the adventures of a young man and pirates in hyperspace.
Girls high school student Kato Marika (voice: Komatsu Mikako) is a lawful space pirate. Every day is extremely busy for her as she juggles her studies, her role as leader of the school's space yachting club, her part-time job at Cafe Lamp, and her responsibilities as captain of space pirate ship Bentenmaru. One day during the spring holidays before Marika becomes a third year student, she comes across a young man named Mugen Kanata (voice: Shimoda Asami) who is a galactic pass holder on a luxury cruise ship where she has taken a job as a pirate saleswoman.
