Miyashita Shinpei, veteran director from the celebrated TV anime series "Manga Japanese Folktales," adapts the same-titled picture book about bullying. Uses straightforward images to depict a boy as he overcomes his struggles. Film supported by Anime Mirai, the project from the Agency of Cultural Affairs to improve conditions for anime production.
Sixth-grader Boku (voice: Kojima Issei) knows that a foursome including Yaragase (voice: Koshimizu Ami) is bullying Donchan (voice: Yajima Akiko). However, he's afraid of becoming a target of bullying himself, and pretends not to know anything about the situation.
