[ Story ]
Second feature film from Kimura Daisaku, the famed cameraman who made his directorial debut with The Summit: A Chronicle of Stones. The film captures the grandiose natural beauty of the 3,000-meter-high Tateyama mountainrange, plus the full gamut of emotions that erupted from the cast during the roughly two-month mountain-based shoot.
After the death of his father Isao (Kobayashi Kaoru), Toru (Matsuyama Kenichi) decides to take over the reins of the mountain cottage that his father operated. Toru begins to face his life anew through encounters with comrades in the mountains, including Ai (Aoi Yu) and Goro (Toyokawa Etsushi), who had close friendships with Isao when he was alive.
