A documentary that follows a family whose lives where torn apart by the Iraq War. Its director is Watai Takeharu, whose Little Birds won the Human Rights Award at the Locarno International Film Festival in 2005. It spans ten years in the lives of Watai and an Iraqi family. Peace on the Tigris get "Young Europeans Jury Special Prize" at FIPA 2015.
While covering the United States' bombing of Baghdad in 2003, Watai met Ali Saqban, who was holding his blood-covered daughter in his arms. In March of 2013, Watai returns Iraq to meet Ali again as he promised years before, carrying photos of that time...
