[ Story ]
A documentary in which oriume director Matsui Hisako looks back on the history of feminism in Japan, from the "Woman's Lib" movement on the 1970s to the present day. It features appearances from sociologist Ueno Chizuko, former NHK director Ikeda Eriko, and Wako University professor emeritus Inoue Teruko.
Forty years have passed since the beginning of the Woman's Lib movement in the early 1970s. The societal environment for women has changed in various ways. What do those women who identify as feminists - fighting prejudice not only from men, but also members of their own gender - want to convey to coming generations?
