[ Story ]
A documentary by a documentary author, Ise Shinichi, who recorded his niece, Nao, who suffers from epilepsy as well as mental retardation, and her family. This is the third in the series, following Nao-chan and Piglet.
Nao was only 8-years-old when filming first started, but she is now 32 in this movie. As her father is approaching mandatory retirement, her family starts to worry about her future. They start considering placing Nao in a group home so that she will have independence away from home. Father and mother cannot hide their sense of missing Nao when she leaves home. Nao's younger brother works at the group home. The family exchange opinions almost everyday, but finally in spring, 2005, Nao starts her new life at the group home. The relationships between parents and child, sister and brother, husband and wife, and in the local area are depicted centered around Nao, with the solid relationship of trust and persuasiveness that have been built up during the 25 years of long-term filming .
