[ Story ]
A war drama that looks back at the conflict through conversations between contemporary young men and those who were ready to die in the war, in an appeal for peace. Based on a play of the same title, which enjoyed performances overseas in New York, etc. Direction, original story, screenplay and the role of the main character are all performed by Imai Masayuki.
A comedic duo, Mike and Kinta, are dreaming of being stars in New York. During the tour, they are involved in a traffic accident, and the impact causes them to time travel from 2005 to 1945, arriving at a base in Japan for those on suicide missions. Mike (Imai Masayuki), a German-American, and Kinta (Matsumoto Takumi), a Japanese-American, are in a panic as their appearance has also changed to that of a Japanese. They meet Japanese youngsters who are ready and waiting for the order to attack. Despite the differences in their way of thinking, friendship develops through conversations. Kinta, who has Japanese origins, is heavily influenced and decides to join the suicide mission. Mike also takes flight, but the impact of striking the enemy vessel sends him back to modern times. His partner Kinta, however, does not return. Mike rises to his feet again and pursues his career as a stand-up comedian.
