[ Story ]

The emotional growth of a young girl who confronts the importance of life and sets out toward a new future is depicted in this stop motion animated feature film directed by Nakamura Makoto who helmed 2010's Cheburashka.
Sixth grader Chiery (voice: Takamori Natsumi) lost her father when she was little and now lives only with her mother. With her mother busy at work, there is no one to keep Chiery company. The only friend to Chiery is Cherry (voice: Hoshino Gen), a stuffed toy found in a storeroom at the time of her father's funeral. One day, Chiery sets out toward her grandmother's home for her father's commemorative ceremony.
