The nineteenth feature film for the animated Pokemon TV series based on the worldwide mega-hit video games, and the first film in the XYZ series. The story takes place in an ultra-mechanized city powered by gears and cogs and depicts the battle involving the Artificial Pokemon Magearna, who possesses unfathomable power.
The Mythical Pokemon Volcanion (voice: Ichikawa Somegoro) suddenly falls from the sky and is bound by a mysterious chain to Satoshi (voice: Matsumoto Rika). Volcanion tries to find its comrade Magearna, who has been abducted, and Satoshi ends up helping with the rescue operation.
