Fantasy comedy about the relationship between a boy and a wild "namahage" ogre from traditional culture in Northeastern Japan with the premise that namahage are animals. Directed by Arai Kenichi of Ossan Sukebo.
A namahage captured in the wild escapes during transport. Aso Mamoru (Nakajima Ren), who lives in the Tokyo suburbs, encounters the namahage and decides to keep it as a pet without telling his mom. The namahage and Mamoru become close. But, they come to the attention of a pet shop wanting to sell the valuable namahage for a high price.
