A film based on Minato Kanae's best-selling mystery novel. The dark hearts of two sincere yet cruel girls are revealed through their respective points of view. Known for her uplifting style, director Mishima Yukiko makes a complete about-face and takes her first stab at the darkness of Minato's books.
Second year high school students Yuki (Honda Tsubasa) and Atsuko (Yamamoto Mizuki) are astonished to be told by transfer student, Shiori (Sato Ryo), she had once seen the corpse of her friend. The two ponder witnessing the moment a person dies, so Yuki begins to volunteer at a hospital pediatrics ward, and Atsuko at a retirement home.
