The sun never sets in the remarkable world of this fantasy in which the love of a poor, lonely man and woman is captured from the female point of view. At the helm is Kobayashi Masahiro, a globally acknowledged director who has had many of his films screened at international film festivals.
Kenji (Ishibashi Ryo) visits a northern town during the season of the midnight sun in search of his wife and child. There he meets Shinako (Sakurai Akemi), a woman who abandoned her family. The two very similar people go about their lives together, but deep in each of their hearts are feelings for their own families.
