[ Story ]
A family drama screened in the Un Certain Regard section of the 54th Cannes Film Festival. Koroshi director Kobayashi Masahiro interjects offbeat humor while depicting the interaction between a father uncomfortable with being honest and his children.
Honma Nobuo runs a sake brewery in a desolate village on Hokkaido. Two years ago his wife died and now he lives with his second-oldest son to whom he has entrusted the family business. The eldest son left home 12 years before and continues to pursue a fruitless music career. Nobuo is hoping to use the family coming together for the second anniversary of his wife's death as a chance for concession with his sons.
