Sequel to THE ADVENTURE OF PANDA AND FRIENDS inspired by the Swedish children's book "Pippi Longstocking." A spunky girl goes on a big adventure in a flooded town together with a father panda and his son. Like the previous work, Miyazaki Hayao handles the script and Takahata Isao serves as director.
A twosome who seem to be robbers show up in the home where Mimiko (voice: Sugiyama Kazuko) lives with Papa Panda (voice: Kumakura Kazuo) and Pan (voice: Maruyama Hiroko). Next, Pan searches their home and finds Tora-chan (voice: Ota Yoshiko), a tiger cub.
