This is the second of Shochiku's popular judo-series. Again, we are back at the beginning of the Meiji period, the 1880's and Shogoro Yano, Japan's "father of judo," is attempting to popularize his sport while exponents of jujutsu, which judo eventually succeeded, try to obstruct his progress. He and his young disciples have the necessary will and strength, however, and the new judo comes into its own.
