Drama adaptation of the bestselling novel by Naoki Prize-winning author Nonami Asa. Higashi Shinji, who has worked on the TV drama series "Aibo", makes his theatrical film directorial debut.
Abandoned by his parents as a child, Izumi Shoto (Hayashi Kento) targets women and the elderly for robbery and random assaults. While on the run from the police, he ends up in a village deep in the mountains of Miyazaki prefecture. There, he helps an elderly woman named Suma (Ichihara Etsuko) and ends up staying at her home. A change gradually begins to take root in his turbulent psyche.
