This film is produced by Ichise Takashige, who also helped create the internationally acclaimed Japanese horror films Ring and Dark Water (Honogurai Mizu no Soko kara). The director is Takahashi Hiroshi, who worked on the screenplay for Ring. Kaori (Fujii Mina) is searching for her older sister (Nakamura Yuri) who has suddenly disappeared. One night, her sister appears to her in a dream and warns that a dangerous person is after her - their mother, Etsuko (Katahira Nagisa). Their mother is a neuroscience researcher who has repeatedly carried out experiments on human subjects in a hospital isolation ward.
