Fifteen-year-old Hatori Chise (voice: Tanezaki Atsumi) gets a book from Miura (voice: Sakurai Takahiro), who runs a mysterious library. Chise has been entrusted with a book that was a source of both painful memories and strength for Miura, and scrambles to communicate Miura's feelings. She discovers the promise that Miura was not able to keep and the library's secrets.
