Monday and Kanikosen director SABU helms this violent film produced through a collaboration between Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Germany. It was screened in the 67th Berlin International Film Festival's competition section.
Hitman Long (Chang Chen) undertakes a job to kill a member of the Taiwan mafia in Tokyo's underworld nightclub district of Roppongi, but fails. He escapes to a rural town far north of Tokyo. Though unable to speak Japanese, he is helped by the generous townspeople and ends up running a beef noodles stand. However, the yakuza muscle in on the food stand.
