The loneliness, anguish, and desires of people sincerely trying to live despite being worn down by city life is depicted in this drama. Up-and-coming director, Segawa Koji of Kogeonna Warau, helms.
Mariko, a housewife who's been married six years, is growing more dissatisfied with everyday life. She lives a separate life at home from her younger husband, Tomoharu, with whom she is constantly quarreling. At work, she is subjected each day to the oppression of the store manager and the rampant conduct displayed by her younger co-workers. Mariko turns to Madoka, her friend from her office worker days, for help, but even she gives up on Mariko. With no place of refuge, Mariko is driven into a corner and she gradually begins to act in an erratic manner.
