[ Story ]

Theatrical film anime adaptation of a popular piece of children's literature that has sold over 3 million copies in total. Directed by Kosaka Kitaro of NASU: SUMMER IN ANDALUSIA with script by Yoshida Reiko of Lu over the wall.
Sixth-grader Okko (Kobayashi Seiran) loses her parents in a traffic accident and is taken in by her grandma, who runs the Harunoya inn. Soon Okko begins training to work as the mistress of the inn, and she grows up day-to-day with encouragement from a ghost named Uribo (Matsuda Satsumi) and other mysterious pals.
