Documentary about the travels that mark the crowning achievement for a 86-year-old priest who has devoted his life to supporting refugees and building schools in Cambodia.
Goto Fumio, nicknamed Gocchan, was born into a Pureland Buddhist family temple in Nagaoka City, Niigata Prefecture in 1929 and became a Catholic priest and adoptive father to 14 Cambodian refugees. The film covers his travels to Cambodia and his hometown of Nagaoka while reflecting on his eventful life spanning from childhood to the construction of 19 schools in Cambodia, transcending both national borders and religions.
