Live-action adaptation of Miyashita Natsu's same-named novel, which won the Japan Booksellers' Award. Sensitive and gentle portrayal of a boy who grows up after falling in love with piano tuning. Under Hashimoto Kojiro's brilliant direction, the monologues and background music are toned down to put the live audio at center stage.
Tomura (Yamazaki Kento) sees a piano being tuned at his high school gymnasium and is moved by the workmanship of the piano tuner Itadori (Miura Tomokazu). He decides that he also wants to be a piano tuner. Eventually he graduates from a technical college and gets a job at a musical instrument store. He begins to learn his craft under the more experienced Yanagi (Suzuki Ryohei).
