Mystery novel superstar Edogawa Rampo's "juvenile detective duo" series is the basis for this teen mystery. A famed detective's assistants follow the mystery of the inexplicable kidnapping of a high school girl in an unspecific time period of Japan.
Akechi Kogorou (Ogi Shigemitsu) is a famed detective in pursuit of the embodiment of evil, the mysterious "man of twenty faces". A mother searching for her missing daughter arrives at his office, but Akechi has not been in the office for a long time. His assistant Kobayashi (Ozawa Ren) intends on turning away the commission but his colleague Inoue (Terasaka Raiga) offers his cooperation and so the search begins.
