In-depth documentary about suicidal individuals and pastor Fujiyabu's efforts to save them. Feature-length documentary debut by Kasezawa Atsushi, who has directed numerous TV documentary programs.
The Sandanbeki Cliffs are located in Shirahama Town, Wakayama Prefecture. There, 'Lifeline Telephone' operator Fujiyabu undertakes his own project to rescue suicidal individuals from the brink of death, and then live communally so they can reconstruct their lives. Japan's many problems come into sharp relief through the discussions between Fujiyabu and those wishing to commit suicide.
