[ Story ]
A geisha's tragic love story is told in this period film which was an official selection of the 38th Hawaii International Film Festival. The film is written and directed by Kashima Mikiya, a veteran of many period television series. Fujino Ryoko, who made her acting debut as the heroine of "Solomon's Perjury", is cast in the lead role.
Itosato (Fujino) is a geisha who belongs to the Shimabara wachigaiya in the geisha quarter of Kyoto during the closing years of the Edo Period. She has her heart set on the deputy commander of the Shinsengumi, Hijikata Toshizo (Mizobata Junpei), but the hostility between two district chiefs within the Shinsengumi, Kondou Isami and Serizawa Kamo (Tsukamoto Takashi), continues to worsen.
