[ Story ]
Drama depicting the bonds of elderly brothers who meet for the first time in four decades. Marks the film directorial debut for theatre maestro Nishikawa Nobuhiro. Author Inui Akito wrote the original screenplay based on the director's autobiographical experiences.
Tetsuo (Takahashi Choei) is a single 76-year-old man who has just finished dealing with his father's funeral. Tetsuo runs a small factory, and his older brother Kinnosuke (Yanagisawa Shinichi) returns home for the first time in 40 years with a mysterious woman named Juri (Tsuchiya Takako) in tow. The trio embarks upon an unusual cohabitation arrangement.
