A film adapting the book 'Closed Ward' by Hahakigi Hosei, a psychiatrist who also published numerous novels, by director Hirayama Hideyuki who garnered high praise both in Japan and abroad for Begging for Love.
Aging death row convict Kajiki Hidemaru (Shofukutei Tsurube) is admitted into a psychiatric hospital in Nagano Prefecture. In the ward are Chuya (Ayano Go) who suffers from auditory hallucinations, and Yuki (Komatsu Nana) who was admitted as a result of the physical abuse inflicted by her father. Together they attempt to live optimistically, but an unsettling incident occurs which completely alters this way of life.
