Animation director Momose Yoshiyuki, who contributed to numerous Miyazaki Hayao films while at Studio Ghibli and helms this feature film animation adaption of Level-5's popular RPG series. Set in the "modern world" (reality) and the neighboring magical "the other world," teens struggle as they are forced to make life-and-death decisions.
Kindhearted high schooler Yu (voice: Yamazaki Kento) and his childhood friend Haru (voice: Arata Mackenyu) suddenly find themselves in a strange place called "the other world". There they meet Princess Astrid, who looks just like Haru's girlfriend Kotona (voice: Nagano Mei).
