The second theatrical film in the series, following the TV drama Golden Kamuy: The Hunt of Prisoners in Hokkaido based on Noda Satoru's manga of the same name.
Sugimoto Saichi (Yamazaki Kento) learns of the existence of an enormous amount of gold that was stolen from the Ainu people. Traveling with the Ainu girl Asirpa (Yamada Anna), he engages in a fierce battle for the gold ingots against Lieutenant Tsurumi (Tamaki Hiroshi) of the Imperial Japanese Army's 7th Division and Hijikata Toshizo (Tachi Hiroshi), the "Demon Vice-Commander" of the Shinsengumi.
