[ Story ]
Live-action adaptation of the same-named novel about a family drama, penned by Naoki Prize recipient Nishi Kanako. Directed by Yazaki Hitoshi, whose film March Comes in Like a Lion was screened at the 41st Berlin International Film Festival Forum.
Members of the Hasegawa family go their separate ways after the traffic-accident death of Ichi (Yoshizawa Ryo), the eldest son who had a hero-like presence. Kaoru (Kitamura Takumi) returns to the family home for the first time in two years and recalls time spent with his younger sister Miki (Komatsu Nana), who had almost abnormal affection for Ichi, and their beloved dog Sakura. Soon an event happens on New Year's Eve that reconnects the family.
