Film adaptation from March Comes in Like a Lion director Yazaki Hitoshi based on Naoki Prize-winning author Koike Mariko's partially autobiographical novel. The film interweaves the moving romance of a high school girl who participates in demonstrations at her school in Sendai City in the 1970s. Selected for the 39th Göteborg Film Festival.
High school senior Kyoko (Narumi Rico) advocates revolution at her school and calls for the abolishment of school uniforms. One day, she meets university student Wataru (Ikematsu Sosuke) at a classical music cafe called Mubanso, or "a capella." She's attracted to Wataru and they start going out, but then she's confronted with a series of shocking events.
